Calling all Seniors! Good Food & Good Company!

Provided by LifePath an independent not – for- profit organization and the Albany County Department of Aging

All Albany County residents aged 60 and above are welcome to join these delightful gatherings. While a suggested donation of $3 is appreciated, it is optional. Non-residents of Albany County and individuals below 60 can attend as guests for a fee of $10 per meal/day.

Each Center has its own personality, but all of them are full of people who are always eager to welcome a new friend!  Many of the sites offer programs before and/or after the meal to allow you to spend more time with others.

Join LifePath’s Senior Meals Program at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Center for nourishment, connection, and community. Seniors are invited to enjoy delicious meals every Tuesday and Friday at 11:30 am and engage in meaningful social activities.

Hosted in partnership with the Albany County Department for Aging, this program aims to enhance senior community members’ well-being and quality of life. The dedicated team at LifePath – Support Services for Older Adults prepares and serves these meals with love and care. Each meal includes a nourishing main course, an appropriate starch, vegetables, a mouthwatering dessert and refreshing milk. LifePath will occasionally organize classes to combat social isolation, provide nutritional assistance, and connect individuals with essential adult services.

To secure your spot at the table, please make a reservation by calling 518-465-6465. Reservations or cancellations must be made by 1 pm the day before each meal. For the upcoming weeks see the attached menu below.

LifePath is committed to providing comprehensive support to senior community members. Helderberg Ambulance

Helderberg Ambulance Squad is actively seeking Volunteers!
“Save a Life & Be a Hero -Join Us. ”
Click to View Helderberg Ambulance Page Here

No experience is needed, any time you are able to volunteer your time can help to make
a difference in our community. If you are able and interested  please call 518-872-9111
and leave a message or send an email to Captain.HelderbergEMS@gmail.com
OR Write us @ P.O Box 54 East Berne NY 12059

Please help us to keep this organization functioning as it is vital to our small community far from  most medical care. Current Helderberg Response Time is 5-7 minutes, if Helderberg Ambulance had to  shut down due to lack of volunteers all calls would be handled by Albany County with a response time of approximately 25-32 minutes. This significant time differential could mean the difference between life & death.

Please Volunteer to Help Our Helderberg Ambulance Squad so they can Continue to Serve The Hilltowns!

In 2023 we answered your calls 522 times! Unfortunately 125 of those calls
had to be turned over to either Guilderland or Albany County as we did not have the
proper staffing to respond to these calls. 182 of the Calls resulted in Transports to Area Hospitals.
